The International Gaming Awards ceremony will take place in London on 21st of January 2008 with its main focus to support truly deserving charities: Care International and Macmillan Cancer Support.
The event will be the industries biggest gathering of the year- the perfect opportunity for you to network with the industry and celebrate excellence at this extremely high profile event.

The forthcoming Gaming Awards 2008 has announced a revised location for the event at the request of many participants, the evening will be held at the Millennium Gloucester Hotel in Kensington.

Millennium Hotel has been favourite for many ICE visitors and exhibitors for years and will be perfect location for the event, as many of the attendees will be finishing their stands@ ICE prior putting they black tie and arriving to the event.

Lisa Barrett, Event Coordinator said, “we have found a location that meets all our needs for this most exciting event, we wanted to ensure a prime location for our attendees so many who are staying at the Hotel can make arrangements more easily.”

Excitement for the Awards is building and the venue is expected to be sold out for its inaugural event with attendees from all over the World.

The Gaming Awards 2008 has taken its ethos from a similar event held for the first time in 1927, Lisa said, “ a gentleman had a vision then to hold an awards event for his industry to celebrate the achievements of his colleagues and peers. Some in the industry had negative opinions and felt that losing was more fearful than taking part. Indeed he struggled to launch his awards and for several years after had trouble finding work. The first award he held had little impact but grew to be the most recognised ceremony in the World. The gentleman’s name was Douglas Fairbanks Jr and his Awards were called the Oscars.”
